Sundays at Christ Church

Sundays are a chance for us to come together as a church family, worship God, hear from the Bible and encourage one another. We hope you’ll leave feeling refreshed, inspired and ready for the week ahead.

Want to know more? Come and join us on a Sunday at 10:30am (doors open at 10am) and see what it’s like for yourself. Whether you’ve been going to church for years, haven’t been for a while, or have never been to church before, you’ll be very welcome.

What to expect on a Sunday

We know that coming to a church for the first time can feel a little daunting, so we’ll do our best to make you feel at home.

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by someone from our friendly Hosting Team - you’ll spot them by the lanyards they wear! They’re there to help, answer any questions and point you in the right direction.

Tea, coffee and other refreshments are available from 10am, and they’re free.

If you have children with you, they can be registered for Kids Church, where they’ll have the chance to have fun, learn about Jesus and meet other children.

What does a Sunday Service look like?

There’s no need to worry about knowing what to do or when to stand up - we’ll guide you through everything. Our Sundays usually include:

  • Sung worship - around 20–25 minutes of songs led by our band, with the words on the screen so you can join in.

  • Announcements - a few updates about what’s happening in the life of our church.

  • Children can go out to Kids’ Church - during term time, children over the age of one can join our Kids Church, led by experienced and DBS-checked volunteers.

  • A talk from the Bible - usually around 20-30 minutes, exploring what the Bible says and what it means for our lives today.

  • Prayer - a chance to pray for each other and bring the things that matter to us and our world before God.

  • More sung worship - we’ll usually finish with one or two more songs together.

Most importantly, come as you are. You don’t need to know anything about church, have the right words, or have everything figured out. Just come along, we’d love to see you.
